Just before their show, he and I wandered over to their "pirate encampment" while Daddy went in search of something to drink. They immediately recognized his piratical potential and said he'd make a fine powder monkey in a year or two.

Then we wandered around for a while and ran into some friends and found ourselves by the gate where one of those postcard signs sat. The Kid wanted to put his head through the hole. Problem is there was no step, so I had to hold him up -- which is why you see all of his face sticking through the hole and me just looking. It wasn't physically possible to be in any other position!
